A large proportion of my images are made during sporting events. I find that this is an interesting environment to make photographs. On display is the translation of practice to performance. With that comes a variety of emotions: supreme confidence, jubilation, self doubt, anxiety, and the heartache of what could have been. There's also the photographic challenges: getting access, one can easily be at the wrong place, the wrong time, with the wrong lens; or the expected sequence of events do not occur despite all the preparations.
